Biography
Elena entered the Clinical field on-site at a Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo, where she was trained in a Bio-Psycho-Social model of treating relapsing drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders and other problematic behaviours. In her therapeutic approach with adults and young individuals, Elena specialises in trauma-informed psychosomatic interventions aimed to help individuals to return to their optimal regulatory responses to anxiety, stress and pain-management. Elena is passionate about self-regulatory practice, working closely with patient’s Nervous System dysregulation in a careful process of building more resilient and skilful responses to their daily stresses, discomforts & feelings of overwhelm.
Elena holds a Masters in Professional Counselling Degree and often implements Clinical Hypnotherapy techniques to deepen the effects of her patient’s therapeutic & self-regulatory work. Elena received Advanced Certification in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Behavioural Change at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis Asia and is a member of British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, as well as The Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association.
