Biography
Dr Alen completed his MBBS degree from National University of Singapore in 1988 and received training in Family Medicine with Ministry of Health (Singapore). He then came to Hong Kong in 1997 as a psychiatric medical officer in Castle Peak Hospital. Thereafter, he worked in Chek Lap Kok Airport clinic from 1999 to 2003 with Raffles Medical Group, after which he became a GP in private practice.
Since then Dr Alen has received numerous addition degrees to broaden his expertise including a Masters’ Degree in Acupuncture (China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences), certification in chelation therapy from ACAM (American College for Advancement of Medicine), and a Post Graduate diploma in Medical Toxicology (Cardiff University).
He frequently attends conferences by Bioceuticals and Metagenics on Functional Medicine and his approach with clients incorporates diet, gut health and lifestyle modifications. In addition, he also teaches part-time at HKU SPACE Diploma in Acupuncture.
