Short term fasting, as seen in intermittent fasting, increases your metabolic rate by up to 14%! So skip breakfast, have instead a green or herbal tea, and kick start your weight loss.

Step 2: Do lunges

A top exercise for weight loss is the lunge. The lunge is a complex movement pattern, combining big muscles of the glutes, quadriceps and hamstrings. When it comes to calorie burning, when you use your biggest muscles you burn the most calories. When done under high-load, like weights in your hands, this effect is amplified.  When combined with an overall strength-training plan of 45 minutes, at least 3 times a week, your fat burning is optimized. Lunges should be performed correctly with good posture and appropriate intensity with weights. It is advised to work with a personal trainer for optimal results.
